    That's right, I2C is 7 bit address. ok, my mistake. So the available addresses for that device are $80,$82,$84,$86 ect..ect... I thought I might be doing

    According to the data sheet the address is

    1000000w/r

    the least significant bit is the read write bit, so $80 would be correct

    I am using the Texas Instruments chip INA219 that has a slave address of 40-4F hex.
