  • U2 Programmer - Debug Schematic

Its has been awhile since I have really used the U2 programmer, but I think I remember that the U2 Programmer could be used for In-circuit debugging? Am I wrong? If so, where is the schematic at for doing this? I looked a bit on Melabs.com....

Maybe I'm making stuff up... But I thought that I once had a Pic running on a bread board and wires running from the zif adapter to the PIC, and then going through Microcode line by line or something wile the code was carried out, I cant quite remember...?

    Could someone enlighten me?

Microcode Studio uses an RS232 serial connection for the In-Circuit Debugger.
It does not use the programmer for debugging.

The chip you are debugging must have a hardware USART.

For more information ... in Microcode Studio, go to Help > Help Topics > In Circuit Debugger (ICD)
    PBP3 Manual : Microchip Datasheets - 10F, 12F, 16F, 18F
Never download a PIC datasheet from anywhere but microchip.com
