  • 3.3 Volt programming with the USB U2

I'm programming a 16F690 that is working at 3.3 volts because other parts on the board can only operate at 3.3 V. Is there a way to set the U2 for 3.3 V? I want to be able to provide power from the U2 because there are 1000 boards to re-programed.

There might be a method using the controlled Vdd output, but it will put your U2 at risk if the current draw of your board is too high.

It would be safer to create a programming cable that supplies 3.3V from another source.
