Why don't you install Win 7? Far more better than XP.

        Hi, Ioannis,

        Excellent question ....

Because I loose most of the PCB/Electronics and other old programs I use ... as they are no more usable with new Win versions ...

( note they have been working flawlessly for about 20 Years !!! - THEM -)

        Example : I bought the Ultiboard/Ulticap illimited student edition for ~ 200€ ...
how much do you think I should pay today for the same tool ???

just see how costs the NI Multisim ( as they call it nowadays ) to offer same features ... tadaaaaaaa

add to that converting all the work done during these years ...

just as simple as that ...

I was afarid that you would say you use ... Smartwork for DOS!

OK, maybe you can have win7 (by far the best OS I used) and install all other programs in a Virtual Machine so you can still use whatever program you want anb best of all, on the same machine.

It is been a month that 4.01 of MPLAB-X is out. Not that I care much using it, but the simulator is tempting. Any good news on working PBP and MPLAB-X together?

Had MPLABX 3.60, just downloaded 4.01. I'll get back to you.

Following the instructions at http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=18520 , I'm getting hung up at:

"3) Mark PBP Tool Chain and PicBasic Language Syntax"

I don't see the PicBasic Language Syntax option.

Well, it was still an interesting couple hours. Guess I'll give up on the MPLABX and stick with MicroCode Studio.
