  • Melabs U2 Programmer Connection Protection

If you connect it backwards does it have some protection built in?

Ours came with two RJ cables plus we have a couple of them.

Some of our cables are 'straight through' and some are 'mirror image' wired.

It never seems to make a difference with our Microchip ICD2 if it is momentarily hooked up 'backwards'.

You just grab one of the other cables and then it usually works.

Is the U2 programmer protected in the event of hooking it up 'backwards'?

    Thanks!

I'd put colored tape on them to distinguish them apart.
