Microcode Studio saves all open files when compiling, causes problems

When I compile a PBP program in Microcode Studio, it saves all the files it has open. This is causing a big problem for me, because I have several files open (that I'm working on but not compiling currently) in an external editor, and running the compiler overwrites my open files with the last version that the compiler saw. Sometimes I forget to save in the external editor and my work gets lost.

Is there a setting for "save all files when compiling" that I can turn off? I looked for one and couldn't find it.

Nobody has replied, so my workaround was to change the SAVE button on my external editor to be SAVE ALL. That solves most of my problems, but I'd still really like to prevent Microcode Studio from writing its files to disk on each compile.

It's strange - they were responding right away for a while but it's been more than a year since my last post and nobody answered. And I sent an actual letter with a box of chocolate, asking for help with a problem, and nobody ever replied. Maybe nobody is there any more.
