LCD Test Screen

Hi,

I have a question. How do you change the LCD Test Screen?

When you ground SC and SD on the LCD and then power it up. It displays a test screen Example:

V1.2 melbas.com
N9600 I2C=$50
Brightness=0
Chars=20 Lines=4
------------------------

How do you change this to display what you want it to say?

The test screen is intended to verify operations of the LCD.
It's not meant to be a customizable "Splash" screen.
It only displays when you short the SD and SC pins to ground.

If you want a "Splash" screen ... you must have first saved the Splash screen at location 0 using the Write String (ESC w n s) command.

When you turn the LCD on, it will display the splash screen automatically.
And you can display it any time using the Display String (ESC S n) command.
